How to Use Fiebing’s Leather Dye
- Use Fiebings Preparer & Deglazer to Strip the finish from the original leather and open up the pores.
- Make Sure the Leather is nice and smooth and not creased.
- Use the included dauber or a cloth and lightly apply the dye. You can also use a spray gun or air brush, particularly for large areas.
- Let the dye dry between coats.
- Flex the leather several times during the drying process. This will keep the leather’s fibers loose and will keep the leather from becoming too stiff.
- Add at least a second coat of dye,
- After dying, remove excess dye with a soft cloth.
